Some of the things I do in our community.
I listen to the concerns of my constituents, research plausible solutions, and work diligently to create and amend policy that is beneficial to the people in my community.
Without a dollar to our name our small, committed board of volunteers (Northern Bristol County Assistance Collaborative), brought a long talked about dream of an emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing facility to serve Northern Bristol County. We formed NBCAC, opened a checking account, met routinely EVERY week to source and share information, made target goals for the week, and created a network of stakeholders and support.
In September of 2022, we were awarded a 5-million-dollar grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to complete our project in Attleboro.
I secured three state budget earmarks and a federal earmark through ARPA to pay for consultants, architects, and legal fees.
Our dream is now a reality, and we'll break ground this winter. The issues that bring members of our community to chronic homelessness are complicated and typically involve trauma. Solutions require time and a multi-pronged approach. Our facility will provide assessment, safety, treatment, and support. With wrap-around services, the route of homelessness can be addressed, and a long-term plan put into action. Our suffering neighbors deserve dignity.

My rescue dog, Audrey. She's a potcake. Born stray on the islands.
She is pictured here with my Cocker Spaniel, Judy. She was blind and deaf. Judy was my loyal companion for 18 years.
I am opposed to the compressor station behind the Poncin-Hewitt Fields in Attleboro.
I have completed 12 Ironman Triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle, and 26.2 mile run) and 15 marathons (26.2 miles).
I owned and drove #49 Race Truck at Seekonk Speedway.
I founded the Rome Boulevard Road Race which donated as much as $5,000 each year to students who could not otherwise afford sports user fees.
